Event: The Battle of Atlantic is an annual day of remembrance which commemorates the longest campaign of the Second World War.  The parade steps off at 10:30 am from the top of Wharf Street and travels to the Cenotaph at the Legislature, and the moment of silence will be at 11 am. Event: Frederick Dally produced some of the most iconic images of early BC during the gold-rush era.  He was not the first photographer active in Victoria, but he was, unquestionably, the best and one of the most prolific.  During his brief career behind the camera (1866-1870), Dally produced not only a remarkable visual record of people and places from Coast to Cariboo, but an enduring vision of land and life in early British Columbia.
