Visit the inner courtyard of Market Square for this magnificent Farmers' Market, presented by the Victoria Downtown Public Market Society.  Every Wednesday throughout the summer, artisan vendors will be offering the best produce and value-added food Vancouver Island has to offer; as the season progresses, farmers will also be selling plant starts and produce.  With seasonal, local, and sustainable eating a driving philosophy in most Victoria homes and restaurants, sourcing ingredients at this 'foodie' market is a no-brainer.

Sunday Market in the Square

The former Government Street Market and its Farmer's Market have moved to Bastion Square and Langley Street on Sundays.  This well-known Sunday Market features an eclectic mix of arts, crafts, imports, and entertainment.  The Farmer's Market features farmers selling their own locally-grown produce and fruits, homemade breads, pastries and tortillas, cheeses, preserves, chutneys and relishes, free range eggs, and much more.

Bastion Square Public Market

The Bastion Square Public Market is celebrating its 17th year in the heart of downtown Victoria.  Stretching from Victoria's waterfront on Wharf Street to Government Street, this colourful open-air marketplace brings a vibrancy to Bastion Square with its wonderful array of locally produced arts, crafts, and entertainment.  Watch the artisans as they create their art or sit and enjoy the market atmosphere at one of the local outdoor cafes.
