Promote Downtown

Guidelines
To be eligible for either grant, a business must be located within the boundaries of the Downtown Victoria Business Improvement Area. An application must be received and approved by the DVBA in advance of any work proceeding. Applications for assistance must first identify the particular business sector or geographic area to be assisted. The details of the particular identity to be created or the details of the particular strategy to be employed must also be outlined. The proposal must create immediate value for your partners and long-term value for the downtown. It must also be a new initiative that your group of businesses have not done before.

Financial assistance is available to help with the costs of: retaining professional design or creative services to develop a brand/logo; commissioning specific marketing material, including print, radio, and/or TV. Grants will be paid upon satisfactory completion of work and presentation of all receipts to the DVBA.

In order to be eligible for grants, precincts must submit a proposal for approval at least one month prior to the event or expenditure.  Proposals for use of DVBA funds must be approved by the DVBA prior to the event or expenditure.
